Lime trees don’t take to being reduced very well. They are hard to climb and the regrowth is very fluffy and dense. In a few years it makes the tree more of a problem than it was originally. The best way to deal with them is to pollard them. We strip all the branches off back to its skeletal structure. This promotes vigorous regrowth all over the tree. In time it will have to be done again.
